CARREER OBJECTIVE

After recently completing my Deckhand training, I am currently seeking a permanent Deckhand position onboard a Private or Charter Motor Yacht. I am highly motivated, fast learning and enjoy being challenged. I enjoy working as part of a team and am easy going and good natured. My fitness level and strength are both excellent and I cope well with physically challenging work. I aim to do every task to the best of my ability and improve wherever possible. I believe I would be a great asset to a professional yacht crew and look forward to being part of a team. I am available immediately and will work worldwide.

MARITIME WORK EXPERIENCE

	MY Symphony(333 foot), Caribbean January 2021 – 1 month On board the yacht, I was part of the deck team for 2 charters, Where I rinsed/washed the boat every night, polished the stainless steel, scrubbed the teak , protected the paint with Awlcare, washed the tenders, did lines on a 12m tender for guests and did a watch in the bridge while we were underway. This was my first real experience of working on a super yacht, and a excellent learning opportunity. Working with a large motivated crew was the launch I needed in my career.
MY Rock 13 (135 foot), St Barths December 2020 - 1 day On board the yacht I cleaned the stainless, cleaned the marks off the boat and cleaned the teak
	MY Aqua Princess (85 foot), Cape Town March 2020 - 5 days On board the yacht I polished, did washdowns and did exterior detailing

2017 – 2019 - Worked during my school holidays

Intramech is an engineering company, who supply commercial air conditioning equipment. As a technical assistant, I assembled fan coil units, mounted, and wired controls, did modifications and repairs on site, and made deliveries around Cape Town

INTERESTS AND HOBBIES

I love to be outdoors and enjoy all sports. I am especially interested in Rugby, Cricket, Football, and Formula 1. When I was part of scouts we went sailing on Saldanha Dinghy’s on weekends.
